The following tables display the highest- and lowest-scoring albums in Metacritic's database, which currently includes 350-400 albums a year beginning in 2000, with a small number of albums from before that time. Additional older albums will be added to the database in the future.
Albums must have at least 7 reviews to qualify for high score lists. Reissues, "best-of" compilations and box sets are not eligible for inclusion.
Albums in these tables are ranked by Metascore, with higher Metascores indicating better reviews from music critics and lower Metascores indicating worse reviews.
