The Pet Sounds Safari in Cornelius,N.C. on Sept. 11th & 12th was a Big Hoot !!!

Dean Torrence of Jan & Dean fame was awesome the night of his performance with The Surf City Allstars. David Logeman, the drummer, must of beat those skins for 3 hrs. straight. I mean, he played for his band the SSAS, Dean's Show, Jez Graham's, Billy Hinsche's and the original member of the Beach Boys, David Marks, (who by the way is not only talented but a funny guy). Chris English, another talented member of the Saturday Concert, played some of his songs from the new CD, DREAMTOWN. You want to hear this one.
An Encomium in Memoriam Vol.1 ... Jan Berry, of Jan & Dean, was a new release and so many guest artist performed on this as well along with 7 Bonus tracks. You can order the special CD at www.jananddean.com

David Beard, editor of Endless Summer Quarterly had a big hand it getting this all together and believe me, IT WAS A SPECIAL TWO DAYS with surprises. I know I appreciated and give thanks to everyone who gave their time, talent and donations for the Cornelius Animal Shelter. Even when I live in Tennessee, I support any Animal Shelters who are struggling. Our Sevier County Shelter really, really needs help too. Right now, if you go to www.comedybarn.com you can vote for Miss Ellie as cutest dog and the shelter may win a million dollars if she is top winner. Like to see something like this happen next year, or in my neck of the woods, Pigeon Forge, Tn (Home of Dolly Parton)

See pix of the guys, from L-R: Chris Farmer, Billy Hinsche, Dean Torrence, Edie Andrews, David Marks, Phillip Bardowell, David Logeman & Gary Griffin. Other pix of David Marks (original Beach Boy member) and Dean Torrence. Also a good one of Billy Hinsche.
Peace!
Edie
