It reminds me of the story of the followers of Jesus asking him, "Teach us to pray" after hearing Jesus talking to God; a prayer that was passionate and personal. In reality they were asking, "Teach us to pray differently. Like THAT..."
TEACH ME HOW TO PRAY
Teach me how to pray so that i may find the way to something real that will comfort my soul. I know i have so little control over what happens randomly i never know what i will be .
Teach me how to pray.
Teach me how to be kind to be humble have presence of mind. Liberate the chains that try to bind me to selfishness when i am depressed teach me how to bless

When my life feels like a dead end street when i can not feel my heart beat put me in touch with the grace i need so much that is ever present even when i clutch.
Teach me how to pray to be grateful for each and every day for this gift of life Teach me wrong from right bring me to the light Teach me how to pray

I get down on knees in gratitude You silence all my fears bring me through the years all the struggles and the tears the ups and downs of my career Teach me how to pray . Let me do the best i can to embrace my fellow man woman and each child when things get crazy wild and I see no escape
